Thank you to our wonderful committee of mainly volunteers who have put countless hours of their own time into organising the fair. Well done awesome people! It's done for the love of our beautiful Bullsbrook community.
Thank you to the groups who put on fascinating displays at the Fair ....children loved climbing all over and looking through the vehicles and machinery provided by Defence, BVFES, Ambos and the Museum. And the cars from over the years were great! The goats were gorgeous and the penning display was interesting. And the PC9 aerial display great! And of course thank you to all of our stall holders, community and business for being part of it all. We hope you had a good day.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors whose support allows us to provide free activities for everyone at the Fair. We couldn't do it without you. Bendigo Bank, Bon Electrics, Bullsbrook College, Bullsbrook Water Carriers, City of Swan, Department of Defence, RAAF Pearce, Fewster Transport, Solomon Hollett Lawyers, Okeland Communities, Outer Limits, Select Hire, The Spud Shed, Kim Johnson, Shannons. A small but valued group.

Thank you to those wonderfully creative people who made bulls, scarecrows, metal sculptures and decorated, grew, painted and carved pumpkins. Looking forward to posting pics soon. And our awesome performers on centre stage and busking.

👨‍🌾🎃Tips for Growing your Giant Pumpkin
  • 🌱🌱Make sure the bed where you're growing your pumpkin is well enriched with good potting mix mixed manures and compost. You can add more later if necessary
  • You will need a good watering system preferably on a timer 2xper day and low down to the ground
  • When the pumpkin starts to send runners make sure it has room to grow. It will put down roots at each leaf node.
  • The male flowers will come first and on long stems the female flowers will come further down the plant and on short stems. The female flowers will only stay open for a relatively short time so keep watch in the mornings and pollinate. Only leave max of 2 pumpkins per plant. Wait and see which one does best and then discard the smaller one. If you have more than 1 plant leave only 1 per plant. Once you have your pumpkin only leave 6 leaf nodes and trim off. leave secondary runners to 6 nodes as well. And ancillary runners remove.
